I just bought this album and the last 77's, which ,as you said, is really strong as well.jeffenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05015674620176399988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4191686244361274747.post-78291288747220358892010-01-23T00:47:31.654-06:002010-01-23T00:47:31.654-06:00Loving the new roots oriented stuff Mike's bee...Loving the new roots oriented stuff Mike's been putting out. The last 77s album, Holy Ghost Building, is really strong. Still roots/southern gospel, but really aggressive guitar work. The band has really grown from those old but great albums from the 80s.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17619757772759041167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4191686244361274747.post-4275836552406709332009-12-12T07:30:24.998-06:002009-12-12T07:30:24.998-06:00Not only is there no comp (that I'm aware of a...Not only is there no comp (that I'm aware of anyway) I think that their S/T album is out of print (unless that box set of their first three albums is still available).jeffenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05015674620176399988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4191686244361274747.post-61843544835420196992009-12-11T10:13:51.356-06:002009-12-11T10:13:51.356-06:00I know we may have talked about this already but i...I know we may have talked about this already but is there some sort of "Best Of 77's" that's worth getting? When a friend suggested I listen to this I blew him off. Now I know better.

* BAck in the eighties all slightly alterna-Christan guys had to have the first name Mike (Stand, Knott, Roe) or the last name Taylor (Terry Scott, Steve, Ojo). Mike Roe's name looked familiar when I saw the heading but for some reason I thought of the Altar Boys. I think the singer was called Mike Stand(never was sure if that was a pseudonym or not).Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17045826661786741441noreply@blogger.com
