A brand-new all-acoustic 2011 session from England's folkie road warrior, Frank Turner. On this session you get three tracks from England Keep My Bones'; a dramatically quieter, solo take on "One Foot Before the Other", a fine, if not dissimilar, version of "Sailor Boots" and an excellent B-side, "Balthazar, Impresario". In addition, you get the Bragg-esque "You Can’t Choose the One That You Love", which is, I believe, previously unrecorded.
Thanks a bundle for this. I can remeber the old days well ok a few weeks ago when Daytrotter was still trotting out the sessions free of charge, albeit @128k. When they went over to subscription I was personally only to happy pay, allong the lines of put your money where your ears go. But was I big time P*ssed off or what! Us poor europeans would end up paing more to our banks than we would to Daytrotter, with the small monthly credit card payments, the banks minimum commision would out way our payment. Too stupid to be true, I have contacted Daytrotter on the subject but am still waiting to hear how we can pay yearly and support a worthy project. sorry to go on and thanks agin for the music.

ReplyDeleteWelcome
Longy
There's no shortage of Bragg influence but Frank remains his own man.
