While we're mourning the death of Canadian folk-hero Stompin' Tom Connors (more HERE), let's give him a punk rock send-off with The Hanson Brothers' (a.k.a. NoMeansNo) version of "The Hockey Song":
This is from that weird, short period where Virgin put out CDs by the Hansons, the Subhumans, Show Business Giants, and I think D.O.A. ("The Black Spot", with excellent drums by John Wright). Did any other videos come out from any of these artists?
Hey, thanks! That's an incredibly nineties-looking video, but a great song. I'm not the biggest D.O.A. fan and I forgot how tight that album was. Guess I'll try and dig it out again.
This is great! Two of my favorite things: hockey & punk :-)

ReplyDelete@Smicha1: D.O.A. has a "live" video for "Order" from The Black Spot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmZG4Eudywg
ReplyDeleteThere might have been one from The Show Business Giants around that time, but as for the rest, I don't think so.
