Another mid-nineties collection of The Revillos (more HERE!) early 80's odds, ends, scraps, left-offs and such, this time on Demon Records. Hope you enjoy the video (even though it has part of "Where 's the Boy for Me" and part of "Motorbike Beat"), it's my first successful upload to YouTube - more to come someday.
Hey it's interesting that there was an explosion of Rezillos-ness in the mid-nineties and then again in the early aughts and now - nothing. Their web-site is straight outta 2002 and other then Rev-Up their remaining albums entirely disappeared from the Captain Oi! catalog.
So what do you make of the Revillos disappearing act in this century? Leave us a COMMENT!

ReplyDeleteI remember, while browsing in a guitar shop in Edinburgh at some point in the mid 80's, Eugene (with Fay in tow) trying to sell me that very organ used in WTBFM. Nice people. But, sadly, I didn't have any money, nor any particular need of such an instrument ... Rock'n'Roll eh?

ReplyDeleteIn 1999, over in Edinburugh for the Fringe Festival, I had the opportunity to find the bikeshop owned by Eugene Reynolds, Motolux, and he was gracious enough to take an hour or so for an interview, which wound up published in a Lawrence, KS music zine, Micromag. I'll have to post that interview at some point, since the site it was hosted on has long since gone.

Great video! As part of a generation who best knows The Revillos from the SIXTEEN CANDLES movie soundtrack, what's amazing to see is just how TIGHT they were. What a great live band!
