* I've got a decent front for #10 now!
Here's a new series (well, the late 1990's, really and even then...), consisting of ten volumes that explore the seedy underbelly of the already seedy underbelly that was British punk rock in the late seventies and early eighties.
Highlights of this more eclectic volume - this punk is often hyphenated by the words mod, pop and post - may (or may not - taste in seedy underbellies varies widely) might include Autograph, Trainspotters and Iceland's Fraebbblarnir:
* Rejected (Daleks, 1980, from only 7")
* Rock Stars (Numbers, 1979, from only 7")
* False Death (Fraebbblarnir, Iceland, 1979, from 2.7")
* Art Nouveau (Bodies, 1979, from only 7")
* 50% Reduction (News, 1980, from only 7")
* Snake's Song (Shish, 1980, from only 7")
* Respectable Men (Dave Bishop, 1978, from only 7")
* Insanity (Buzz, 1979, from only 7")
* Hiring The Hall (Trainspotters, 1979, from 2.7")
* Merched Dan 15 (Y Trwynau Coch, 1978, from 1.7")
* On The Beach (Da Biz, 1980, from only 7")
* While I'm Still Young (Autographs, 1978, from only 7")

ReplyDeleteHey everybody thanks for coming by and leaving words behind (even for this cover-less post!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping them alive!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome to the nth degree
ReplyDeleteWorked my through every Treat, and this volume is by far my favorite--does that make my taste in punk/wave "eclectic"? I have the Numbers, Bodies, Royston (Shish is the name of the disc), Trainspotters, and Da Biz cuts as premium keepers and the rest as solid or better save for a single dud ("Insanity", The Buzz). That's an AWESOME ratio. Thanks for this.
