  4. 13 tracks on this one. I have a paid up rapidshare account and have hd no problems with any of the dl apart from the Gen X track you very kindly re-upped from the roundhouse show everything has been great for me.

I love these solo Bragg demos and "Northern Industrial Town" is mighty.

    Thanks mate appreciated.

  5. Jeff,

Don't know if this will help at all but I have found that a few folk want to say thanks and don't have a blogger account and when they see that word verification thing they just can't be bothered to go through the process. I always have mine switched off I get quite a few anonymous replies we just need to educate those anonymous ones that they can still leave a name on the end.

    Best wishes Marky.

I enjoyed the authorized biography but haven't tried his own tome yet - maybe I won't bother...

Watch here, I'll put-up the full version soon.
I'll check me settings - I thought I had it on the open one but maybe not.
Thanks for always having something astute to say.

Glad to add some more Bragg to your world.

Yup Bragg solo is the best - though Wilco did make a great backing band.

    Big Glue
That Peel Session is probably my second fave Bragg Cd (after "back to Basics").

    Dr. Steve
Yay, Bragg. (I gotta check out those country eighties covers _ I've always loved Yoakam's version of "Train In Vain".)

Yup doing the Guthrie brought about something new in Billy.

Good, since we've been doing lots of socially-conscious' music this week.

MRML is now bettering people's lives? How hypocritical of me.

    The Goalkeeper
I suspect when Bragg dies Mermaid Avenue is what the North American press will stress about his life.

  20. I remember being about 16 or so, growing up in a house where Woody Guthrie got played with some regularity, and wondering why my parents were so baffled with my copy of Life's A Riot With Spy Vs. Spy. It all seemed like the same thing to me.

That's interesting because my mom and some of her leftist friends liked Billy Bragg - especially the quieter stuff.

  24. Thanks for these tracks, The Bragg Wilco collaboration brought some interesting results. Good to hear Billy's demos. Also worth mentioning the offical bootleg of the Mermaid Avenue tour with The Blokes available for about £6 at http://www.billybragg.co.uk/store/index.php/music/billy-bragg-and-the-blokes-mermaid-avenue-tour.html
