Despite the smart way Bill Janovitz and his quarter-century old band Buffalo Tom have with a tune, I've never dug into this Boston alt-rock group's oeuvre. But if within the back catalog there are more songs as indelible as, "Guilty Girls" from the uniformly excellent new album, Skins, then I shall have to remedy my sins of omission.

If you think Skins is uniformly excellent (and I completely agree with that opinion), than you'll find a lot of great songs on their other albums.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you get a chance to see them live, do so.
I remember the ladies lovin' "Tailights Fade" back in the day. I myself, althought not a lady in the strictest sense of the word, held much affection for it as well.

ReplyDeleteI need to find a good introductory album to BT.
Favorite BT songs remain to be "Dry Land" and "Torch singer" from the album 'Big Red Leer Day,' but I enjoy the entire discography of Buffalo Tom. This new song above carries the same style I love.
