On this OUT-OF-PRINT 2002 album ($65.00 on Amazon!), Hamilton's The Vapids bring a Ramones-core sensibility to their cover of the entire first Teenage Head (more HERE) album. Unlike Screeching Weasel, the Vindictives, The Queers and MTX (see HERE) who re-recorded the first four Ramones albums in their entirety, The Vapids are dealing with a lesser classic and hence we can have as much fun as they do with these revved-way-up frat-punk anthems.
let us know what you think of The Vapids take on Teenage Head in the COMMENTS section (which is where you'll find the TH link).
No need to download.... have this one already and saw them play these songs live many times. Great band, and an interesting interpretation of this Teenage Head album. I think Gord Lewis (or at least one of the other TH members) was involved in recording this.
Definitely check out their other releases too. Early stuff is sort of Ramones-core, as you say, but later stuff takes on a harder edge.
One of my all time favorite albums ! And from what I just heard I can't wait to play them back to back ! Yet another great band I got endless Shit for from the dinosaurs in my neighborhood who eventually got me to escape to the city and start playing Punk ! Thanks troglodytes wherever you may be... But I guess now I'd be considered in a similar way by todays young musicians ??? Ah F**k it this still rocks more than 95% of the new stuff today !!! Thanks for the rarity jeffen.

Re: Re-Ups
MRML does not plan to restore all of the content lost in The Great Mediafire Gutting of 2012. Polite requests may be made in the appropriate section, regular commenters will get priority.

Are these guys still around? I'd love to see them in Buffalo sometime. Or maybe take a trip to Hamilton.
