Stompin' Tom Connors Memorial Button!

A local radio station has joined with a local credit union to give out memorial Stompin' Tom Connors (more HERE) buttons to people who make a donation to either Winnipeg Harvest or Siloam Mission. Here's a picture of mine (I contributed enough to get one for me and one for my son who loves Stompin' Tom!)

  2. I was sorry to hear Stompin' Tom passed away. I first heard his music while I was living in the Mojave Desert just north of L.A.

A lot of my favorite musical artists were from Canada, originally, so I thought I would "surf the net" and find out who the real Canadians were. That is how I "discovered" Stompin' Tom and Stan Rogers.

I even bought and read both auto-biographies that he wrote.

My children, all grown up now, still sing "Gumboot Clogeroo" and "Bugs".

So, who else is up there that I should know about?

    RIP Stompin' Tom
