The Eversons: Creepy (2013)
The Eversons are a band from Auckland, New Zealand who's new single "Creepy" has a nice Frank Turner-meets-Masked Intruder vibe but done in a more charming eighties indie-pop style. Check out the video and you may find yourself singing along...

Reminds me of Pooh Sticks.

Great comparison.
ReplyDeleteY'know I heard "The World is Turning On" and rushed out to buy "Million Seller" which really didn't love up to the single.
I like it, even though its stuck in my head now.
ReplyDeleteThe exact idea!
DeleteIf you're willing, try the album before that, Great White Wonder. Nothing they put out before or after it was nearly as good, and in fact it is all I have left of their stuff I had back then. If that sounds like faint praise, it isn't: GWW is a killer album, they were firing on all cylinders.

Sure,I'll give it a shot Is "On Tape" on that album? - that's another song by them I like.
DeleteIt's not.
DeleteI see. Well, on PS front, I found Million Seller for $1.99 - it sounds much better then I remember!
DeleteI had "Great White Wonder" back in the day and found it reasonably satisfying. Meaning: I sold it and now find myself wanting to give it another chance.
ReplyDelete"Creepy" kicks ass! As does "On Tape".
