  4. This is so cool! one I don't have from one of my favorite bands! Thank you!
I used to look forward to their shows so much. Really great musicians and performers. I've always thought the Fastbacks were a band that a lot of people missed out on, unfortunately for them! Thanks again!

  6. Zücker, but more because it was stuck in my buddy's car's cassette deck for most of our long commutes in the summer of '93 or '95.

  8. It's a toss up between Very Very Powerful Motor and ...and His Orchestra. Then again, I just pulled out Zucher for the first time in awhile over the weekend and had forgotten how good that was too. I'll be interested to see if you come up with anything I don't already have. ;-)

They were definitely a fave and saw them every time they hit the SF Bay Area.

"I've always thought the Fastbacks were a band that a lot of people missed out on, unfortunately for them! " Me too - hence the ridiculous number of posts!

I found Zucker disappointing but then maybe I expected too much at that point - I shall have to go and re-listen.

You album number one (especially with those CD bonus tracks) tops my list.

    Steve
Hopefully I dug out a few undiscovered treasures for ya.

  10. I remember reading about the Fastbacks in either Maximumrocknroll or Hitlist... forget which one, but it was one of the columnists I respected, and he talked about how the Fastbacks were his favorite underrated band.

To me, they really are simply a "Rock & Roll" band. No other labels ("punk rock, etc.") really do them justice. And that's probably why they weren't more famous.

  11. the cd version of ...and his orchestra is at the top of my list since it includes the in america ep.

the question is no is a close second. or maybe it's tied for first.

    thanks for all the goodies!
