Boots for Dancing 12" E.P. (1980)

Y'know Jo Callis (Rezillos / Shake / Human League / Swalk/ Feargal Sharkey) has at least one more band and one more style on his resume. The band in question is Scottish post-punk-funksters, Boots for Dancing and while Callis isn't on this high tension EP from 1980, he and some other ex-Rezillos will soon be walking into the picture:

So what do you make of Boots for Dancing's take on post-punk? Leave us a comment.

Speaking of comments that's where the link for the Boots for Dancing EP can be found.

  4. aaah, Boots For Dancing, a name from the long gone past...

I saw them supporting U2 AND Talking Heads in the Hammersmith Odeon (maybe?) around 1980. I remember being very impressed by a song called Somewhere In The South Pacific, but never came across it since. (Now why can I remember that quite clearly, from 30 years ago,and not be able to remember what I was doing yesterday..)

I'd love to get that song if you have it (or if it ever existed)!

    Keep up the great work,

(from the increasingly confused desk of.. )

    Joe.

DISCLAIMER - it's Saturday night, and there may be drink taken ...

  5. You really are a fucking star, Jeffen... Whatever I ask for you seem to have at your fingertips. Thanks a lot for this one. Is their second Peel session one of the other rarities? I've got the first (the one with Callis on), but again don't have the second.
