Seattle's masters of power-punk, The Fastbacks (more HERE), rip out two more killer tracks on this 1994 Munster Records single.
Tracklist
A Wait It Out (Al Bloch)
B The Jester (Rusty Willoughby)
(Outside spine on gatefold reads: that was PRETTY GOOD now how 'bout some ROCK N ROLL!)
So, are you enjoying this string of Fastbacks rarities or what?????? If so, leave us a COMMENT! If you don't, I'm gonna have to start a series on sequestration and the Bush tax cuts!
I must admit by the time of the Fastbacks I had moved on in musical terms.I am getting to know, evaluate and revaluate the Fastbacks.Cripes ... you inspired me to order '... And His Orchestra'.Jeffen costs me $!
What I am listening to today:
Graham Parker and the Rumour 'Three Chords Good' ***** Amanda Tosoff Quartet 'Still Life'(jazz) ***** Bridge Quartet 'Day'(jazz) ***** Holly Near 'Peace Becomes You'(folk, jazz etc.) ***** Los Furios http://losfurios.bandcamp.com/ Bone Daddies http://bonedaddies.bandcamp.com/
I wonder if anybody out in MRML land has a nice vinyl rip of Bob's Your Uncle's(Vancouver) first album?
So many releases I was unaware of! Saw so many Fastbacks shows in the day especially during the time Kim and I were dating, and remain best friends to this day. This one caught my eye because of Rusty Willoughby ! a genius of pop rock in his own right, I have a great demo of unreleased Pure Joy tracks, the the great band FLOP that followed that had a much harder edge... I think I have two songs from the Pure Joy Demo in my iTunes I'll send them to you ok... Brilliant tunes. Thanks Jeffen
MRML is a blog about the devestating effects of culture: music, politics, comics plus etc. blah blah blah. At times MRML will post fine, unpurchasable three-chord obscurica (punk, pop-punk, new wave, mod, power-pop, gospel, reggae, hardcore, rockabilly, folk, country...whatever.) - - - - - - "The otherwise unavailable files in this blog are posted for a limited time and are intended for educational, non-commercial use. Re: Re-Ups
MRML does not plan to restore all of the content lost in The Great Mediafire Gutting of 2012. Polite requests may be made in the appropriate section, regular commenters will get priority.
