  3. It's been a while since I listened to the original album, but these demos sound better than what I recalled from the final product. But it's still not my fave, that would be Third Eye with Neurotica coming a close second.

  5. Thanks for the great post. The demos are definately stong and if i remember right stronger than the lp. The best RK by far is either Neurotica or a 10" put out by Sympathy for the Record Industry- very rad- I wish i had an electronic version of it

  8. Yes I must say the Neurotica cassette I had sure was fetishized if that is even a word much like the Husker Du "Flip Your Wig" tape at the time I had both. Some magical about them. Then I stopped buying their stuff. I did have the first ep too and it sounded rap cranked up on vinyl. damn back in the dorms in college. We exchanged a lot of good music for sure. Those are my votes.

I came to top the RK party late (their archness always used to give me mixed feelings) maybe I'll get them more now.

  10. thanks for these. i saw redd kross twice on the nuerotica tour and many, many times along the way and almost every show they achieved total orgasmic rock godhead. one time in new jersey ann magnuson came on stage with them to sing 'don't worry kyoto'. she took her top off and the whole band (except drummer jack irons) ended up in a pile writhing as the feedback blared. one time they opened with a metal version of 'the sounds of silence' that was worth the admission price alone. i could go on. during the phaseshifter tour I saw them at the tiny lounge ax club in chicago. it was like seeing queen or aerosmith at their stadium prime -- only in a small club with only 600 people.

all of their stuff rules nations.

    thanks again!

  12. Awesome band, awesome album, awesome post. You're three for three!

I'm glad that, at least once, I was able to convince you to pick something up ("Show World")that you might have otherwise ignored. A proud moment for this Jerkface indeed.
